About Sybarite Soul
By definition, a sybarite is a person devoted to luxury and the pleasure of the senses. The definition of “soul” is the principle of life, feeling, thought, and action in humans. As an adjective, soul also means the characteristics of, or for, the African diaspora and their culture. Always enamored by texture, color, lines, curves of all things and by/of African cultures, the name of my accessory line is Sybarite Soul. Each piece celebrates life, lived with soul.

About my work
My pieces are made with upcycled and new organic materials. Gemstones, wood, leather and vegan leather, Dutch wax Ankara, and other handmade fabrics. The compositions are meant to evoke and honor an African aesthetic in a modern medium and style. The pieces use symbology, modern and ancient, color and gemstone meaning, to conjure/awaken certain feelings and emotions for the wearer, and the designs are made to flatter the wearer and profile the beauty of the materials it’s made with. My pieces allow me to allow customized pieces even though no piece is ever the same.
